We’re live. The goal: make €100,000 this year, starting from scratch. Our weapons? A laptop, Wi-Fi, and ridiculous amounts of energy. Our first milestone: We need some cashflow to get into bigger side hustles. We started with referral bonuses Europe edition.
While reading in to multiple side hustle ideas, we found a no-brainer offer: Revolut was paying €90 per referral if your friend fully signed up and completed a few tasks (like ordering a card and making 3 payments). So we shared our links in a small circle of friends and guided two of them through the process.
Because we already had a Revolut account, we just shared our link. It didn’t take much more than a short explanation and a few WhatsApp messages to help and remind our friends and family to complete all steps.
The result: €180 in the bank within 3 working days.

We aimed for 5 referrals, but quickly found out that getting people to act is harder than it seems.
Most people didn’t feel like going through the process, even with free money involved (we promised they will get €20 euros if they completed all steps). Some were skeptical. Others just… didn’t get around to it.
By the time two other friends finally made some moves, the campaign expired. Easy money? Yes. Easy to convince people? Not really.
NB: There are a lot of bonus periods. Just wait for 1-2 weeks when there is nothing. So In theory you can do this every few weeks if you have a lot of friends.
Nett profit of €180,- and probably the easiest money ever made. Because we believed in the product we could sell it to our friends and family. Unfortunately people don’t have that much time for unknown (maybe sketchy) things. So even then it is hard to convince people to register for this kind of programs.
We spent 1 hours probably the most time we spend was asking friends if they needed help and send some reminders.
Difficulty only 1 out of 5. You only have to believe in the product and read what the steps to complete are.
This was definitely worth the time if you calculate our hourly rate it is €180 an hour. And without a real product to invest in, you dont have any risk off losing anything. But don’t expect mass participation and the scaleability is limited. The payout though is really quick: within a week you have some cash to play around with.
